That said i am always very careful when walking on the roof especially when. A wet installation can also cause a new roof to fail. Shingles may not properly adhere to wet surfaces. If the sheathing or wood is wet during the time of installation it can trap moisture inside of your roof leading to mold rot or other severe problems.

Asphalt shingles are not slippery when wet because the rock granules embedded in the surface provide good traction. By way of comparison the industry literally had decades of experience with modified bitumen. But the granules gradually come loose as the roof ages and loose granules can make even a dry roof difficult to walk on without sliding. I have been on the roof when the flexarmor material is wet and did not find it to be slippery.
